About the Role

The L&D Administrator reports to Learning and Early Careers Specialist and supports the L&D function with a focus on early careers initiatives, including internships, scholarships, and trainee programmes. Serving as a key liaison for early careers programme applicants, they act as a brand ambassador for Maples while providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Learning and Early Careers Specialist. This position is essential to the efficient delivery of early careers programmes and is an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a foundation for a career in L&D or Human Resources.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain databases, records, schedules and inventory
  • Maintain an accurate record of spend against budget
  • Receive, collate and submit payment requests
  • Provide administrative support for meetings and events, including managing room bookings and calendar invites
  • Manage the early careers mailbox, responding to routine queries and escalating other queries where necessary
  • Act as a point of contact for interns, students and trainees
  • Prepare standard documentation using established templates, such as offer letters, contracts and standard communications
  • Support recruitment tasks throughout the hiring process, including collating document packets for applications to internship, scholarship and trainee programmes
  • Liaise with schools and community partners to facilitate participation in fairs, career days and work experience initiatives
  • Participate in the planning and execution of all early career events

 

EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • An Associate's degree is required. Preferred fields of study include Human Resources, Business Administration or other related disciplines
  • 2 years' experience in an administrative role, within a law firm or financial services firm would be preferred
  • A high comfort level with interpersonal relations, especially with candidate care
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • A keen attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • A strong interest in developing a career in L&D or Human Resources
  • A strong understanding of core Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with hiring and recruitment processes and software would be advantageous
  • An ability to work independently when required
  • Strong comprehension and analytical skills
